You are 13 times more likely to make a profit at the casino compared to day trading.

En studie utvärderade det långsiktiga resultatet för 450 000+ daytraders från 1992-2006 på den taiwanesiska aktiemarknaden. Studien visar att du har 13 gånger större chans att göra en vinst på casinot jämfört med daytrading

A study evaluated the long-term performance of 450,000+ day traders from 1992-2006 in the Taiwanese stock market. The study shows that you are 13 times more likely to make a profit in the casino compared to day trading.

The data contained 3.7 billion transactions with a transaction value of $10 trillion, and almost all of the day’s trading was done by individual investors.

In a given year, 20 percent of all day traders made a profit after fees, but less than one percent of traders from this group could generate a profit in the following year.

Casino games

The analysis comes from a database containing anonymous records of 4,222 internet gamblers who placed at least four days’ worth of bets on casino-style games of chance such as blackjack, roulette and slots.

The players made money on 30% of the days they bet, which was good, but continuing to play is a bad bet.

Only eleven percent of players ended up in the black during the entire period, and most of them earned less than 150 dollars.

So…

If you’re not in the top 0.1% of traders based on skill, the data shows that you’ll do better with casino games.

Or even better – to invest in a low-cost, diversified portfolio. The very best option is to use the Viking stock exchange program.
